07-FI, Egg Chair - Leather Upholstery - Inspired by Arne Jacobsen
Few lounge chairs have achieved the iconic status of this sculptural design, originally created by Arne Jacobsen for Copenhagen's Royal Hotel. With its enveloping silhouette and distinctive winged form, the chair reinterprets the traditional wingback chair through a distinctly modernist lens.
Designed to provide both comfort and a sense of privacy, the chair's high back and curved sides create a personal retreat within larger living or lounge environments. The swivel base further enhances its versatility, allowing the user to engage with or withdraw from surrounding activity as desired.
Our interpretation features a molded internal shell constructed from fiber-reinforced composite material, providing strength, durability and long-term structural integrity. Upholstery is available in premium Italian leather, selected for its refined appearance and exceptional performance characteristics.
Generous layers of high-density, high-resilience foam provide lasting comfort and support, while carefully tailored piping highlights the chair's sculptural contours and contributes to its clean, architectural appearance.
Combining expressive form, exceptional comfort and enduring relevance, this modern design icon remains as compelling today as when it was first introduced.
