Introduced in 1958, the PK31 series reflects Poul Kjærholm's pursuit of structural clarity, modularity and ideal proportions. Designed as both a standalone lounge chair and a flexible seating system, the collection allows individual modules to be combined into larger configurations while maintaining a harmonious visual identity.

Defined by its disciplined geometry, the original lounge chair forms a near-perfect cube, illustrating Kjærholm's fascination with balance and proportion. The design combines clean architectural lines with exceptional comfort, creating a seating system that remains as relevant today as when it was first conceived.

Our interpretation remains faithful to the original design language, featuring a brushed stainless steel frame paired with individually upholstered seat, back and side panels. Precision-crafted steel components provide strength and visual lightness, while preserving the modular character that distinguishes the collection.

The internal structure is built around a hardwood frame, upholstered in premium leather over a layer of Dacron for a refined appearance and comfortable support. Seat and back cushions are generously filled with down and feather blends, offering a soft, inviting feel while retaining the clean silhouette of the design.

Available as a lounge chair, loveseat and sofa, the collection adapts effortlessly to a variety of interior settings while preserving the elegant restraint and material honesty that define Kjærholm's work.
